About SNAK Software

SNAK software is a fully customizable accounting package with a 100% proven track record. More than 80 snack food distributors nation-wide are currently using one of several SNAK packages including DosSNAK, HHCSNAK for your handheld computers and WebSNAK.

Major enhancements include multi-ticket functionality, EDI, Purchase Orders, General Ledger, History Reporting and much more. DAO Route Solutions maintains its technically advanced software by regularly implementing enhancements based on our own design and SNAK user requests. Read on to learn more about the specific SNAK package that is right for you and the great benefits that are provided for members of our SNAK user community.

DosSNAK

DosSNAK is the base accounting member of the SNAK software package. It includes General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory Control, Route Control, Jobber Control, Vending, History Reporting, Utilities, DEX, EDI, Intermec Interface and Security modules.

Through the use of this software a DosSNAK user can easily and quickly download and upload data from their Intermec HHCs. This member of the family requires very little maintenance and is used on a daily basis by fully computerized sites.

PocketSNAK

PocketSNAK is the software that operates within the Intermec handheld computers used by routes and jobbers out in the field. Applications are available for use in the Intermec model 700 series and are fully DEX/UCS capable.

HHCSNAK

SNAKMIC is the software that operates within the Intermec handheld computers used by routes and jobbers out in the field. Applications are available for use in the Intermec models 4000 and 6200 series. They are fully DEX/UCS capable.

WebSNAK

For those companies who do not wish to purchase software at this time, we will soon be introducing WebSNAK a monthly membership program. For a monthly fee, SNAK users may log-in to the WebSNAK-site for all their accounting needs.

DAO Route Solutions is dedicated to meeting all of your training needs. We continue to change, update and improve our classes based on staff and SNAK user input. Class times are flexible to fit your busy schedules and training is available on site or here in our offices in Virginia Beach, Virginia.

SNAK User Community Benefits
(The SNAK Distributors Information Network)

The SNAK Distributors Information Network offers the following benefits to all SNAK users:

  • Remote support is provided to all SNAK users in a timely and effective manner. Internet access is needed.

  • Remote data backup is performed every night. All data is backed-up to a centralized DAO RS server for secure off-site backup.

  • Remote equipment backup is available in the event of a disaster. DAO RS would set up your personalized company server with the previous night’s backup within four hours of notification. Your staff would require access to the Internet to continue operations from any location.

  • Remote sales information is posted daily, weekly and on period sales reports on the SNAK Distributors Information Network. Secure access is available to authorized users via the Internet. Key personnel are able to view sales activity via the Internet at any time they desire.

  • Remote attendant – Every night TCOM would be taken via download, data backups performed, upload data processed, daily reports produced and posted to the Internet and TCOM started for the next daily cycle.

  • Website hosting – DAO RS will host your company’s web-site. This service includes development of a simple website with pages describing WHO WE ARE, WHAT WE DISTRIBUTE, CONTACT US and any logo/graphics supplied by you. (See www.herronfoods.com)

  • E-mail hosting – DAO RS will host up to 50 e-mail accounts.

  • Domain registration – DAO RS will register, maintain and pay your company’s annual fee for its DAO RS hosted web-site.
