DAO-ET Press Releases
December 2002: DAO-ET has contracted with
Wise Foods to begin development of interfaces between their existing
JD Edwards Enterprise Systems and the soon to be deployed WebSnak
Route Accounting System. The services will be performed in the
first quarter of 2003, and will provide seamless data sharing between
the two applications. This integration will provide a showcase example
of the flexibility and extensibility of the WebPublisher framework
developed by DAO-ET and used by WebSnak. ###
December 2002: DAO-ET develops conversion
process to migrate Intermec's legacy language (PLN) applications
to operate on Intermec's newest line of handheld computers (700
series). After months of Research and Development, DAO-ET is
excited to announce the availability of its services in providing
a seamless conversion path for Legacy PLN applications. Previously,
customers had resigned to the fact that they had to throw away hundreds
of thousands of dollars worth of investment in software development,
and re-write thier software applications for use with the newer
Intermec models. Now, with this inexpensive service from DAO-ET,
companies can retain thier investment in that software, yet still
upgrade to the newer models. The resulting application is similar
to it's PLN predecessor, but is entirely written in Visual Basic.
So, in addition to retaining the investment in the original software,
training and documentation, the software also becomes cheaper to
maintain and enhance! Certainly, Visual Basic developers are easier
to find than PLN developers. ###
December 2002: DAO-ET contracts with
AppForge to provide its MobileVB framework for use with our handheld
applications. DAO-ET has established a partnership with AppForge,
Inc. to provide licensing of it's "Booster" application
for use on the Intermec 700 series handhelds. This booster allows
all converted PLN applications to run on this series. The initial
bulk order is for 500 licenses. ###
